Updating your resume is harder than it should be.

You already have a resume. It just needs your latest job added, a fresher look, or both. Somehow that small job turns into an evening of fixing spacing, retyping bullets and second-guessing every line.

  • You add one new job and the whole layout breaks

Bullets shift, spacing slips, and a page break lands in the worst possible spot. Fixing it takes longer than writing the new role did.

Add the role in a few simple fields and every design makes room for it. No more nudging margins at 11pm.

  • You know what you did, but not how to say it

Your newest role is often the hardest to write about. You stare at the empty space under the job title, and nothing sounds right.

A few plain questions, like what changed because of your work, help you get unstuck. You still write every word. We just help you stop staring.

  • Trying a new look means starting over

Templates arrive empty or with filler text. You copy and paste in your whole career, fix every bullet and fiddle with font sizes, then have to do it all again just to try another design.

Your details drop into every design at once, so trying a new look takes a click, not an evening.

Resume Restyle handles the formatting, the retyping and the starting over, so you can get back to your job search.

How it works

  1. Bring what you have

Upload your current resume as a Word file or PDF, or save your LinkedIn profile as a PDF and upload that. Starting from scratch? Type it in.

  2. See what we could read

We show you what we pulled from your file and point out formatting that often trips up screening software. Fill any gaps once.

  3. Try every style

Flip through a curated set of designs, from traditional to modern, with your details already filled in.

  4. Download and send

Keep your favorites as PDFs and editable files. Heck, download them all. They're yours to keep and edit forever.

What you walk away with

Everything you'd otherwise piece together from a template shop, a builder and a lot of copy and paste.

Questions

Is Resume Restyle available yet?

Not yet. It's in early development. People on the early list get first access and help decide what it includes.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once and use it whenever you need it. It never renews, and your files are yours to keep.

What file formats do I get?

A PDF and an editable .docx file for each design. The .docx opens in Microsoft Word and Google Docs. Every design also comes with a plain ATS-safe version.

What is an ATS-safe resume?

Many employers run resumes through an applicant tracking system before a person reads them. Columns, text boxes and graphics can scramble what the software reads. An ATS-safe version uses a single column, standard headings and real text, the formatting widely recommended for screening software.

Will this get me past an applicant tracking system?

We can't promise that. Honestly? No one can. Every employer's system works a little differently. What we can do is show you what we could read from your file, point out formatting that often causes problems, and give you a plain, single-column version of every design built to be read cleanly.

Do you store my resume?

No. Your resume is read and turned into files right in your browser. It's your experience and your personal information, so we don't store it or keep a copy.

Does it write my resume for me?

No. It points out spots worth tightening and asks questions to help you get started on a new role. It's your experience, in your words.

What if I need it again later?

You've already paid. Upload a file you downloaded from us and pick up where you left off.

Who's behind this

Hi, I'm Justin.

I'm the person building Resume Restyle. I want it to be a simple, no‑nonsense way to update your resume and give it a fresh look.

It started with my own resume. I needed to add a new role, and getting started felt like starting from scratch. I tried a couple of templates and spent more time on formatting than on what I actually wanted to say. AI tools helped a little, but they scrambled the formatting and added things I never wrote.

So I'm building the tool I wanted. It's a side project, made by one person. No subscription, and no surprise upsell at the end.

Your resume shouldn't be a roadblock.
